The 103rd Entry RAF Halton

The 103rd Entry of Aircraft Apprentices from No. 1 School of technical Training at RAF Halton, near Wendover and Aylesbury, did their training from January 1963 through to December 1965.  This small web site is a nostalgic reminder of the time spent during those years.

The 103rd Entry has an active Association, and has now held three reunions. We also have our Entry Window in St. Georges Church at RAF Halton.  Hopefully this site will also be of interest to others who trained as Trenchard's "Brats", and to anyone with an interest in RAF Halton.  The site has grown as people send in old photos of those days from January 1963 till December 1965.

The six main pages of the site are listed at the top of the page, just below the title, but there are plenty of sub-pages below those.  There is a full Table of Contents at the bottom of this page as a site map.  Make sure you visit all the pages!

From each main page (listed above or below in bold) you can select any other main page or return to this Home Page. From each sub page of a main page you visit or any of the related topics, you can return to that main page or this Home Page. Main page titles are in blue and sub-page titles in yellow.

The area on the right gives a quick overview of news and recent changes.
Similarly, the site history link above will show all the updates.

Any photos, news, suggestions or comments on the site contents is gratefully accepted by me at web103.

* * * * Hi everyone * * * *

The Entry weekend of the 10th & 11th May 2008 was a great success!

The Saturday evening social get-together at the Holiday Inn Aylesbury,
was a great gathering with so much to talk about. We had members from as far as Cyprus & Australia. We were also honored with the presence of Peter Ayerst - OC 1 Sqn, 3 (A) Wing 1963 and Ernie Fox - deputy Flt Cdr 1 Sqn 2 (A) Wing - 1964 / 65.

On the Sunday, a visit to Halton House followed by a short re-dedication service of the Entry window at St. George's Church with a wreath laying at the ‘The Tribute' for Entry members no longer with us.  Lunch followed in Henderson Mess, 1 Wing and a visit to the museum before we all departed looking forward to the next entry get together.

Photos from the weekend are now available.  There is a great selection showing the great time we all had during the whole weekend.
Select from the link below in Reunions and click on the May 2008 Event.
